The Wolf of Wall Street
The Wolf of Wall Street a movie based on the true story of the life of Jordan Belfort. Jordan is played by Leonardo DiCaprio. His best friend and business partner Donnie Azoff was played by Jonah Hill, who was extremely well casted for his part. Donnie is a quirky guy which seems to fit right in to Jonah Hill's wheelhouse. Jordan came up from nothing to work in the stock-broker business. He always had a desire to be rich. Just when he started to be good at his job working for a big name stock company he was fired. He then decides to build his own company from nothing along with Donnie. As he gets richer and richer Jordan's character starts to seem more like some of the other roles DiCaprio has had. Jordan slowly devolves in to using drugs which allows for some crazy special effects shots. It goes on to see Jordan's business deal, both the legal and the illegal. The movie was directed by Martin Scorsese who has plenty of movies under his belt. With Leonardo DiCaprio also being a producer for the film along with being an actor this film had potential from the start. My biggest objection to the movie is that it is unnecessarily obscene. I'm all for the use of obscenities to help the movie be more complete, but after a point it was in there just to drag in a younger audience that was probably going to see the movie anyway. However I think it is a bit too much I understand that it is hard to find a good balance and some obscenity is definitely needed or the movie wouldn't be nearly as entertaining. I would give the movie 8/10. It was a good movie and it has a nice definitive ending so that there won't be a sequel but left enough open to keep the viewers wondering. All in all it was a good movie.

October 8th Newscast
This newscast was the best one we've done yet. This is obviously shown by the fact that this is the first one to get posted, but there are other reasons. This one was taken a bit more seriously which was desperately needed. Jevan took Brady's place and I think he did a pretty good job for his first time. He could have used a bit more eye contact but so could the other anchors. Abby had a bit more confidence this time in the weather but she panicked after the first time she stuttered. Everyone keeps forgetting that their mics are still on and are saying things when they shouldn't but that can be fixed easily. The only other comment i have to make is that some of the camera shots had another person's arm or elbow in it so the camera people might need to make tighter shots. Besides that it was a great newscast. Anthony steeped up and did someone else story when they forgot to and it almost seemed planed because he picked it up so fast. If we keep improving at this rate we could be really good at this by the end of the semester.

Movie Review - Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction isn't just a movie for people in the 1994 time period when it came out. It has held its own against many other movies of the modern day. There are many reasons its done as well as it has. First, it has a great list of actors. Names like John Travolta, an actor who has been in many choice films, Tim Roth, an actor most known for his ability with accents, and Samuel L. Jackson who plays Jules Windshield A.K.A. the baddest SOB to hit the face of the earth. There are very few people capable of being more of a badA$$ than Jules and his partner Vincent Vega, the protagonists through out most of the film. That's right MOST of the film. This movie doesn't follow the mainstream stick to one person or group as the protagonists. Instead the movie shift from main character to main character, slowly learning how all of their paths are connected. The movie has tones of intrigue because of its constant tension and mysteries. Some questions lead to plot twist and other are left for the viewer to decide. The movie also has some great quotable moments such as Jules execution line of Ezekiel 25:17. The movie is a thrill ride filled with plot twists and mystery. With Lawrence Bender as the producer, Danny DeVito as an executive producer, and Bob Weinstein as a co-executive producer the film was bound to be a hit. The movie has, in my opinion more than earned it spot as the number five film on IMDB with an 8.9 rating. Id give the movie a solid 9/10 (pretty good considering so far no movie has made me give it a 10/10). This movie is definitely worthall of the 154 minutes that is put in to watching it.
October 1st Newscast
The last newscast didn't go so well. Most of the prep work took to long to set up. JP tried to fill in for Anthony. Personally I think he shouldn't have been the person to do it. We already are lacking cameramen. He did an okay job reading his lines but when he wasn't sure what camera to look at he overreacted. He should have just picked a camera and hoped it was the right one, but instead he "broke character" and started asking where to look. at that point we had to scrap the newscast. We didn't get very far in. The entire group could use some work. I feel like they don't try very hard. Also there isn't that much I can do about it with the job I have. I feel like the director doesn't do their job. I am getting annoyed that the other class is doing better than us. I feel like theirs not much I can do to help the problem either. Hopefully the next newscast we will focus and maybe actually get something accomplished.
